Mark serves as President of Lever Energy Capital, overseeing all aspects of the company.
Mark brings two decades of corporate management, real estate and renewable energy experience to Lever. Over his career, he has been instrumental in the creation, management, and financing of several innovative asset-based companies, and has raised over $400 million in corporate equity and project financing. Prior to joining Lever, Mark co-founded and remains a Board Member of SPUR Acquisitions, a company focused on institutionalizing entrepreneurship through acquisition. Earlier in his career Mark served as the Chief Capital Officer of Clean Energy Collective (CEC). He joined CEC pre-revenue as the third employee and helped build CEC to $35 million in revenue, with over $100 million in assets, offices in CO and MA, 120 employees and community solar projects affiliated with 25 utilities in 13 states. Prior to CEC, Mark founded and was President of The Willits Group, a real estate development, consulting and finance company specializing in urban infill and adaptive reuse projects. Mark was a Partner at GrayMac Properties and a Project Engineer on Boston’s Central Artery Tunnel Project (“The Big Dig”).
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University (CSU), where he has been honored with CSU’s distinguished alumni award. Mark also holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development, Finance, and Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Mark is the father of three daughters, a husband, a skier, and a fly fisherman.
