Lever Energy Capital's Kevin Morse Talk's C-PACE Financing With Arkansas' iHeart Radio
Our very own Kevin Morse recently joined Tom Wood of Arkansas’ iHeart Radio and Matt Bell of Entegrity on the airwaves to discuss C-PACE financing and how commercial property owners in Arkansas and around the country are turning to this accretive form of financing to optimize their commercial real estate assets.
On the show, Kevin Morse explains what C-PACE is and why it’s becoming such a popular tool with commercial real estate owners. He also talks about the sustainable retrofit of Entegrity’s headquarters building in Little Rock, Arkansas, through the local C-PACE program. The building is a 14,000 square foot office and warehouse building that was converted to net-zero, producing enough energy on-site to meet the building’s energy consumption. The project was financed retroactively, meaning the building owner completed the project and then applied for C-PACE financing to receive repayment for sustainability improvements to the building. Through C-PACE financing, the building owner received an inflow of cash and unlocked average utility and maintenance savings of $43,000 per year for 25 years and increased the property’s value by as much as $300,000 and more over time.
